Satyam row will have no impact on Karnataka: Acharya
The major financial fraud in Satyam Computers will have no impact on the Karnataka Government's ambitious healthcare programme "Arogya Kavacha", an emergency ambulance service, home minister V S Acharya said.The Hyderabad based EMRI organisation funded by Satyam has been providing the "dial up 108" for emergency ambulance service in Karnataka, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. The service was recently launched in the state."EMRI is managed by an independent trust. The Trust has promised that the development in Satyam will not have any bearing on the scheme," he told reporters,while responding to queries.
V P Baligar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa dismissed speculations that some infrastructure projects awarded to Mytas Infrastructure in the city would be affected. "The firm has assured that it would complete them," he said, referring to the elevated road project on Hosur road and flyovers in parts of the city.
