Udupi: Home Minister V.S. Acharya said on Saturday that many roads in the city would be widened to facilitate smooth movement of traffic.
He was speaking after inaugurating two bus-shelters at Parkala here.
Dr. Acharya said that an action plan had been drawn for the four-laning of the Tangadagadi-Gundibail Road in the city. The land acquisition on the stretch between Tangadagadi and Gundibail was estimated to cost Rs. 11 crore. The broadening of the Kadiyali-Syndicate Circle had begun, he said.
The MIT-Athrady Road would be widened after completing the land acquisition process. The Government was contemplating on widening the Adiudupi-Malpe Road.
