Udupi, Sep 20: An education meet was held at Bhavani Mantap, Ambalapady, here on Saturday September 19, by Taluk School Head Teachers’ and Pre-University College Principals’ Association. District-in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya inaugurated the programme and said, “Teachers have the responsibility of motivating students to develop an interest in a variety of topics that enrich their study. They are also instrumental in shaping the future of students to help them lead the life of a responsible citizen in the country”, he said.The programme was presided over by MLA Raghupathy Bhat. Ambalapady Sri Janardan Mahakali temple trustee Dr N B Ballal, deputy director of public instructions Dr Mahidas, block education officer Vasant Shetty, and Manjunatayya were present. Education expert K R Hande delivered a significant lecture on the occasion. The heads of schools that bagged cent percent results in SSLC and all those that secured high marks were also honoured during the programme. T Manjappa compered the programme.
