Mysore, Sept. 22 (DV&RK)- "The Prime Minister himself has expressed his satisfaction over the law and order situation in Karnataka. But the opposition leaders have raised a hue and cry that it is deteriorated. We do not take such allegations seriously," said Home Minister V.S. Acharya today.
He was speaking to reporters at Maharani's Arts and Science College in JLB Road here.
Referring to the threat by Congress leaders to lay siege to Vidhana Soudha on Sept. 26, he said, "People have a right to protest, so let them protest, we will deal with it suitably."
Reacting to the recent incident at the written test for the post of Development Officers of Village Panchayats, he said, some suspects have been taken into custody, investigation is going on and the guilty would be punished.
Some unseen hands are bringing bad name for such exams which are held with transparency and honesty, he added.

Mysore Sept 23: Karnataka Home Minister V S Acharya today said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has expressed his satisfaction over the law and order situation in the State. Speaking to newspersons here, the minister said, the Opposition have raised a hue and cry that the law and order in the State is deteriorating, but we do not take such allegations seriously. Referring to the threat by Congress leaders to lay siege to Vidhana Soudha on September 26, Dr Acharya said they are entitled to stage demonstrations and the Government will deal with their protests properly.
