ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳು, ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳು, ಚಿಂತಕರು ಸರ್ವಾನುಮತದಿಂದ ತಿರುವಳ್ಳುವಾರ್ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಿರುವಾಗ, ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಲ್ ಕಾಲ್ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆರಳೆಣಿಕೆಯ ಉಟ್ಟು ಓರಾಟಗಾರರು ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ವಿಷಾದನೀಯ.
ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ದುರುಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆಸ್ತಿ ಪಾಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಇಂತಹ ಓರಾಟಗಾರರ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಸರಕಾರ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಈ ಬೆರಳೆಣಿಕೆಯ ಓರಾಟಗಾರರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಗರೆದುರು ಹೀರೋಗಳಾಗಲು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂತಹವರನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೇ ದಯ ದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸರಕಾರ ಮಟ್ಟ ಹಾಕಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಲ್ಯಾಕ್ಮೇಲ್ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆಗೆ ಕಡಿವಾಣ ಹಾಕಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಓರಾಟಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಪ್ರಜಾತಂತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಿ ಗೆದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ತಾಕತ್ತು ತೋರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅದು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಗಿಟ್ಟಿಸಲು ಇಂತಹ ಗಿಮಿಕ್ ಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನು ಸರಕಾರ ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಸಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಮಂತ್ರಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಾರಾಯಣ ಗೌಡ, ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ವಗೈರೆಗಳು ಯಾವುದೇ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ನಿಂತು ಗೆದ್ದವರಲ್ಲ - ಅಂತಹವರಿಗೆ ವಿಧಾನಸೌಧದಲ್ಲೇಕೆ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆ?
This move is a symbolic one,but its path breaking in terms of relationship building with the neighbouring states,maturity of the leadership of the government and also visionary approcah of the government,clearly showing that the differences over various issues cannot stop paying respect due to a poet......This is a new begining....I'm a proud KANNADIGA today.....i hope government has done this with due respcet to the poet and not to garner tamil lingistuic population votes,if thts the IDEA,then this a ill thought one,bcoz the ERA of people voting for the 'statue'is Over...
