Lessons to be learnt from Secondary bomb blasts at Hospitals in Ahmedabad...

When this photo conveys the message, why publish gory photos of the dead/ dying? Respect human dignity.(photo: AFP/BBC)Please refer to earlier post : http://drvsacharya.blogspot.com/2008/07/our-response-to-terrorism.html (posted on 25t July) Wherein, it was noted that the secondary attacks take place near hospitals, targetting the relief workers/ medical systems/ curious onlookers and the unnecessary visitors at the hositals like politicians and the media.
Now read this report:
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India/Ahmedabad_blast_sites_chosen_with_political_icons_in_mind/articleshow/3286234.cms
"Two public hospitals, the Civil hospital in the Meghaninagar area and LG hospital which is in the Maninagar area were also targeted and the time chosen was when victims of the blasts in these areas were expected to arrive at these hospitals for emergency treatment from the Maninagar and other areas. In LG hospital the blast happened even as the Ahmedabad Lok Sabha constituency MP Harin Pathak was visiting those injured in the hospital. This blast happened when a bomb planted in the car park exploded. The blast in Civil hospital happened close to the trauma ward where those injured in the blast were getting treated. The other places chosen were busy bazaars like vegetable markets in Maninagar where many women were injured."
Message:
Report any suspicious activity-object to the nearest police station- Remember that all blasts occuring on Fridays need not be terrorist attacks- they may be the acts of your neighbourhood anti social elements!/ Do not unncessarily visit the blast sites/Hospitals- there can be a second attack/ Do not hamper the work of police-investigating agencies- you may hamper relief operations/ Do not spread rumours/ Do not make unnecessary phone calls- you may crowd the network and cause inconvinience to the needy/ Be prepared to donate blood-enroll with local voluntary organizations/ Have faith in administration- Together We Can Curb Terrorism!

Politicians/Media Note:
Politicians are responsible for not leveraging terrorist attacks as a platform for pushing other agendas or justifying irrational expenditures. They should also refrain from making hasty comments/ statements which might hamper investigations. They should also avoid useless exercises like visiting the victims of terror attacks in the hospital/ visiting the dead (in what way it helps?), which will not only hamper the medical management but also burdens the local administration and the police – who otherwise should be involved in relief measures/ investigationsಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಏನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದರು?

What is the use of parading in the Hospitals, with mediamen? Will this "show" help in any way to any individual/ investigations? The security personnel, who otherwise have other serious issues to tackle, will end up "escorting" these politicians! Rather than these publicity stunts, ministers should be busy in tactical planning!

Poor politicians, if they do not do all these stunts, newspapers report the next day...

We sincerely hope that, politicians and media will learn from the Ahmedabad experience.

Dear Sir,
When the investigating agencies are struggling very hard to keep the politicians and the public away from the blast sites, it is very shocking to see a very reputed paper like prajavani carries out an article "Acharya Nirliptha" complaining about you not visiting the blast sites. That shows the intent of these papers. For them a public show is much more important than efficient handling. Probably it is the assumption that a minister is very strict only when he publicly visits the places and bashes the officers. The paper also mentions that you had spent the whole day in Vidhan soudha attending meetings which in real world should have been a compliments.

I would like to thank you for bringing a work culture and efficiency that is different than that we see so often. As the wisdom says, you have allowed your officers to do their job rather than jumping yourself to gain petty publicity.

I sincerly wish that your dept brings the culprits of this horrible acts to justice very soon.

When did media become government and investigative agency?

Who are these idiots to tell what police or government should do?

If they are so keen on giving unsolicited advice perhaps they should enter public life and politics and rule from Vidhanasoudha instead of acting like hungry dog looking for a juicy non-stories.

Sir,

It doesn't need hitech methods to prevent such acts.
I have simple suggestions.

Cleanup all dustbins regularly.
Cleanup all dirt on roads, and make them clean.
You can spot suspicious objects easily.

At present there are many "holes" in the road, side of roads, where there are piles of stones etc, garbage neatly packed in "plastic covers" and thrown on foot paths(wherever they exist)

If they are cleaned up, people will spot suspicious objects easily, they will use footpaths, contribute to free flow of traffic.

The Congress has over the years destroyed our national pride and self-confidence through perverting Gandhis thoughts, and making Nehrus fallacies, fed by his inadequacies law, almost destroying India in the process.
Hinduism almost destroyed itself by stating the caste system as unchangeable.
Now the Sonia Congress / Soul Harvestor / Minority Rights combine is destroying Hinduism by making Hindus feel they are fit only for slaughter.
That we now have many ashamed Hindus, ( read the comments to your blog ) ashamed of asserting their rights is a pointer of how far we are on the road to self-destruction.
Hindus are now like cattle going to a butcher, we are supposed to accept this as for our own good.

These cunning secular champion gentlemen have kept the backward backward and inculcated the "helpless in our minds" through using the power of the state to subdue our voices in every way possible.
Now, we people need to feel that have the power to change our lives.
We, the people of Karnataka need to awaken and understand that the Government is only an agent of our voices. We are not its puppets.
We need to think for ourselves, taking reality into account.
We need to understand that we are not helpless. That we can change our fate. By awareness.By well thought out, logical, rational , concerted action.
We need to move from why we cant to how we can.

Will the BJP have the sense to start the Hindu revolution against the Soul Harvestors and their Minority Rights / Human Rights avatars ?

The dignitaries who visit the spots create more problem and work to the policemen who are under tension of duty. After all what do they do? They listen to some crackpots who say "ili bantu as huli bantu" and use that to create more problems. There should be proper arrangement to handle the situation in the form of desaster management dept?
