Visit to PMO, Delhi


BANGALORE/NEW DELHI, JUNE 2, 2009: Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Mr Yeddyurappa greeted Dr. Singh on assuming the office of the Prime Minister for the second successive term. The PM on his part assuring all his cooperation for development of Bangalore and Karnataka also inquired about the infrastructural problems with the Chief Minister. He also promised him a full scale meeting concerning the problems of Karnataka after the Budget Session with the state. The CM made a special request for making available fertilisers to the state to enable the farmers to take up post-monsoon cultivation activities and to allocate power from the Central quota for the state to overcome power shortage.
A delegation led by Mr Yeddyurappa also called on Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee and several other ministers and discussed various proposals pending with the centre for long time.

Dear Dr.Acharya,

I have recently read an article in the newspaper where the TENDER called for SURATHKAL HIGHWAY was cancelled since there was only 1 particicpant.The higways in coastal KARNATAKA are in a very bad shape.Please draw the attention of Mr.KAMAKLNATH on this.Mr.T R Baalu diverted majority of the projects to TN when he was the SURFACE TRANSPORT MINISTER.
