Udupi March 20: Sixth Kannada Sahitya Sammelana of Udupi district began here today with a call to establish a Kannada Bhavan in Udupi. This was mooted by the litterateurs of Kannada at the sammelana. They wanted the Karantha Vana at Udupi to be developed further to give an impetus to the Kannada literary activities in Udupi district.
Earlier inaugurating the Sammelana Dr. Acharya promised the litterateurs to send the proposal to the ministry of Kannada and culture and also put his personal words to the Chief Minister.
