Food for thought

How to be in God’s service (click here for full version & source)
• It is in giving that we receive.
• If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.
• It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
• It is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching.
• It is not fitting, when one is in God’s service, to have a gloomy face or a chilling look.
• Lord, grant that I might not so much seek to be loved as to love.
• Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury let me sow pardon.
• Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
• While you are proclaiming peace with your lips, be careful to have it even more fully in your heart.
• I have been all things unholy. If God can work through me, he can work through anyone.

Sir I am a staunch supporter of BJP and well wisher. This is my sincere request that if you can just advertise your Manifesto, ESPECIALLY, the income tax exemption upto Rs.3Lakhs, it would be really great. This is because I am into that kind of circle wherein I see some confused heads who dont know whom to vote for. When I told them that BJP is providing this kind of TAX Exemption everybody was like "I will vote for BJP". Also just a small suggestion if you can target some sections of society and pull out some strong leaders in BJP to take responsibilitis of those sections, then my idea is to take different clauses of your Manifesto (which are most relevant to those sections) to these different groups (like ladies, youth, elders, farmers, businessmen etc) and do the maximum publicity. Sir your manifesto is a big big VOTE PULLER please assign the publicity of your Manifesto in a very strong manner. I know media is averse to BJP so it will the primary task with only our leaders to accomplish this.

Bible story book is compulsory for students in Christian schools
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ellaKAVI/message/23046

I was bit shocked to know that Christian schools have made mandatory for its students to study Bible & it starts right from 1st standard class. Please find attached the scanned copies of few pages from 1st std book of a student (our family friend) from Bishop Cotton School Bengalooru. This book although outside syllabus -is treated as a text book & regular test is also taken on this book.

I guess many parents are not aware of this fact. Every parent want their children study in the best school and Christian English schools look great for them. People are ready to shell out hard earned money or by loan to give fees as high as 1 to 3 lakhs Rs for these schools.

If a child has to learn bible, the parents also end up learning it as they have to do home work for their kid. Christian missionaries / schools have planned very meticulously to spread Christianity.

Here are the side effects on these kids
Have to study in English medium (not mother tongue ) – looses love for mother tongue.
Have to study bible – looses faith in his/her own religion.
Have to study ICSE /CBSE ( Not state syllabus) looses state interest.
Have to study Hindi forcefully which is not required.
Have to travel longer distance in school bus. not good for health & not enough time to play around.

Dear acharya Ji,

Even after 1 year of BJP rule, the temples in Karnataka, is not still released from government control.. is there any specific reason for it?

Even if there are obstacles, if BJP could not release temples, then who else can?

The HP BJP had released all temples, immediately after coming to power.. Many of the hindus are expecting that to happen in other BJP ruled states.

I read venkatasubramani comment above..

Its true that most of the christian schools teach bible compulsorily.. is it not against the so called secularism?
