Gandhi’s Ideologies Ever Prevalent in India - Dr V S Acharya

Udupi, Oct 2: The state and district-in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Bhujanga Park, Ajjarkad, here on Sunday October 2 on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.

Speaking on the occasion, minister Dr Acharya said that the ideologies of Gandhi are ever prevalent. Jayaprakash Narayan and Anna Hazare are the examples of non-violence struggle. The rural development is the need of the hour in the nation, which was envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi. Westerners still doubt, whether Gandhian ideology succeeded in securing freedom to the country from imperial forces, despite six-decades passed since then, said minister Dr Acharya.

MLA Raghupati Bhat, town councilor Kiran Kumar, deputy councilor Bharati Chandrashekar, DC Dr Reju, municipal commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, Yashpal Suvarna, Naveen Bhandary, Gujjady Prabhakar Rai and others were present on the occasion.
