Sir, it was good see that many dignitaries have been awarded with Honorary Doctorate. while congratulating the University authority for identifying such persons, i take this chance to share following fact

Shri.Raajesh an eminent theatre and Kannada cinema artist of the yore richly deserves Honorary Doctorate. His contributions to both theatre and cinema fields are immense. He has written 11 plays thereby proving his mettle as a creative playwright and brought all of them to stage. Starting from his first film “Veera sankalpa” in 1964 he has acted in 152 kannada films including the highly acclaimed ‘Namma Ooru’ in 1968. He has politely denied the offers of acting in Tamil films and confined himself to Kannada film industry only. All along his tinsel career of 46 years he has maintained a low profile. Being a highly esteemed person and is the last person to lobby for himself for honors and laurels. The result, he has remained in the wilderness. It is high time for the Universities in our state to recognize the yeoman service Raajesh and consider his name for conferring coveted Honorary Doctorate which would be lauded by one and all and it is an honor to that auspicious University itself.
