  9. Acharya - A gem among the stones (in BJP). Let not our ignorance & hatredness overcome our ability to judge a person. PS- I am no great fan of *any* of our political party.

  11. It is with great sorrow that we learn about the demise of Dr. VS Acharya. The state and the country has become poorer in its clan of politicians who stood for integrity and purpose. A thorough gentleman - a truly rare individual!!!

I just could not believe the sad demise of Dr.V.S.Acharya today. A rare upright politician who was well known for his simplicity, sincerity and clean administration. I knew him since 1977 and whenever I met him his word- enu Raghavendra Bhattre still rings in my ear.I spoke with him on 13-2-2012 at about 1.30 pm and unusually he spoke in shivalli tulu.my heart felt condolences to his wife and children.I am sure God will give him Moksha.

  20. My family and I are deeply saddened by this news. Although we have not been back to Udupi since 1986 both he and his family have always been on our minds. He was always there to support us when he needed help and his character was that of a sincere Krishna bhakta. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his beloved wife and family.
